<lj:music>coldplay - speed of sound</lj:music>

You'd think a proper-appearing person like me would collect candles or soaps or maybe even pens from the different hotels I've stayed in throughout my career, but instead, I collect those lovely socks that any sane person would wear with sneakers. I like how the patterns zigzag and spiral and morph and twist and become everything and nothing. I like how there are a million hues of colors (unlike my bland journal) and each one has a special meaning to me. My favorite pair, two beautiful lumps of cotton dyed orange and green, was retrieved from a thrift store in Tokyo during my exploration of Harajuku. Another favorite was for my 18th birthday, a mixture of orange, purple, and green given to me by a few guy friends of mine as a joke of how my personality was mixed and wacky. I think they had a solid support on that assumption.

I've always been a fan of romantic comedies. I enjoy laying on the carpet with a bucket of Cheetos and a tall glass of orange juice with my hair still in curlers in front of the mini television set (large, plasma screens have never appealed to me) clutching my side in laughter. In homage to one of my favorite films (here's to you, Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston), I have a screename and it is along came emmy. Leave yours or surprise me, they're both appreciated here.
